   Sugra Morley here., Contrary to the above article which states I lived next to the Ivory Glacier throughout the win ter of 1973, and another article by David Harrowfield that said I was at the glacier i 1974. Both reports are wrong, it was actually 1972! I arrived in New Zeaand in February 1972 with the idea of spending a lot longer in solitude(I had spent a month in in Tasmania at a place called The Walls of Jerusalem. That had such a profound effect on me that I wanted to spend a lot longer in solitude) -in Fiordland. I went down there, but found it too severe. Then one of my climbing friends, Graeme Body, suggested I go up the Ivory Glacier, as he was one of the crew working for the Ministry of Works up there.
