Talented actors Davey Round, Laurence Varlet, Herbie Berger & Robert Tait are set to screen in the trilogy The Five Kingdoms (1) in Venice Italy; the pair have roles in the film with Round playing “Mayor Fandacious Simplistus”, Varlet playing the mayors wife “Lessene Oswald Simplistus”, ” Berger plays “Mayors Assistant Blackey” & Robert Tait brings the character “General Tem”.

Canterbury costume production The Five Kingdoms Trilogy set in 1901 has started its journey around cinemas in New Zealand with a screening at the Lumiere Cinema on Monday the 9th at 12.00 & all are welcome. The film has a tradition of the audience dressing up in costume from the 1900’s which is the attraction for the crowd in Venice, Italy.

Local actor Davey Round takes on one of the lead roles and is well known having taught law at the University of Canterbury.

Marseille native Laurence Varlet is a recent refugee from the troubles in New Caledonia; & she has played in many 24hr film festival competitions.

East German Method actor; Berger’s Star is also quickly rising as he has also played in The Changeover, Hello Au Revoir& the international production The Stolen.

Octiginerian Robert Tait is one of Christchurch’s musical stalwarts as the lead conductor for Opollo Musicum a national orchestra of nearly 300 members; plus he is the musical director for the film.
